Review: Dippin' Records second release hears a new project from multi-instrumentalist Yuki Kanesaka, Monolog, taking on two classics from Patrice Rushen and Herbie Hancock respectively. First up and featuring the legend herself on vocals and synth lead, comes a re-performed version of the undeniable Patrice Rushen hit 'Remind Me', with a new twist. The flip, meanwhile, comprises a cover of none other than Herbie Hancock's 'Chameleon', this time hearing Julian Dessler on trumpet and with remaining live instrumentation played and produced entirely by the one-man band Yuki Kanesaka.

Review: This is the first release on Boston funk superstar Saucy Lady's own label Dippin' Records, collecting two nu-disco bits, and a few alternate versions, all with a skippy, retro flair. Produced by Saucy Lady herself, alongside Yuki "U-KEY Kanesaka, the A-sider 'Why' comes as an electronic space disco version of Carly Simon's original. Meanwhile, the flip's 'One More Night' reinterprets the original song by Phil Collins as an uptempo banger, side-by-side with a retake by Daisuke Miyamoto.

Review: Dippin' Records introduces two tropical-boogie heaters, straight outta Rio de Janeiro by the Brazilian multi-instrumentalist and producer Fabio Santanna, off of his new album ASA. Following his most recent collaborations with the likes of JKriv and Joutro Mundo, Fabio modernizes the MPB vibes of Joao Donato, Marcos Valle, and Ed Motta for current dance music lovers. 'You Can Do It' delivers uplifting funk with a catchy hook, while the flip-sider, 'Swing Malandragem', carries a floor-friendly jam with a South American percussion and samba feel that transports you to the sizzling summer heat of Rio.
