Amberrox (Joeski remix) (6:44)
Review: For the latest release on his rebooted Oblong Records imprint - initially a Plank Records offshoot specialising in turn-of-the-millennium tech-house - Bushwacka has grabbed a collaborative cut from San Francisco scene legend Doc Martin and long-time friend in music Mark 'Blakkat' Bell. The pair first worked together in the studio back in the '90s, and 'Amberrox' is an undeniably nostalgic affair - a hybrid electro/breaks/acid workout of the sort that would have gone down well at Bay Area parties back in 1990. Bushwacka provides two takes - a punchy electro re-fix and a druggy-sounding, early 2000s tech-house tweak before Joeski lays down a bubbly, electronic house roller tailor-made for the wee small hours.

Deep House
2 Degenerates & A Drum Machine (main mix) (7:16)
Always Have Acid (6:50)
Always Have Acid (Organ mix) (5:56)
Review: For the latest drop on their occasional House of EFunk imprint, Soul Clap has joined forces with Californian house legend Doc Martin with predictably impressive results. A-side '2 Degenerates & A Drum Machine' doffs a cap to both vintage East Coast deep house and the dubby, hypnotic take on house music that became the hall mark of the West Coast house scene in the mid 1990s. Over on side B we're treated to two mixes of 'Always Have Acid': a squelchy, off-kilter original version that adds mind-mangling TB-303 motifs and dreamy, glassy-eyed vocal samples (lifted from a very unlikely source) to a tough drum machine beat, while the 'Organ Mix' re-casts it as a tough, non-stop jack-track with clipped organ stabs and razor-sharp acid lines.

Techno
Charles Webster vs Ursula Rucker - "Begin Anew" (7:57)
James Harcourt vs Heik - "Ghost" (5:57)
Oona Dahl vs Doc Martin - "Soul On Fire" (dub) (7:18)
Bebetta vs Smash TV - "Hold On" (6:52)
Review: Dave Seaman and Steve Parry founded Selador in 2013 as a vessel for their vision of house and techno, forged on the foundation of their lifelong dedication to the culture. They've been commemorating ten years of outstanding music with a run of releases that gather together some outstanding new tracks across the spectrum of the label's sound, and just look at the partnerships they've mustered up for this fifth and final entry in the Decade series. Charles Webster and Ursula Rucker lock into an outstanding strain of deep, soulful house on 'Begin Anew' while Oona Dahl and Doc Martin tease a little prog magic on 'Soul On Fire (Dub)'. At every turn these established heavyweights are pushing new sounds, mirroring Selador's overall combination of experience and curiosity with spectacular results.
