Celebrating its 30th anniversary, 'Black Sunday' has always been a favourite hip-hop album from the fringe of the scene. The Californian group would subtly mix in latin influences into their, often strange, beats influenced from A Tribe Called Quest (like on the zany chanting on 'I Ain't Goin' Out Like That'), Beastie Boys and Public Enemy and going on to become huge influences on the impending nu-metal wave (thing the greats like Korn and System of A Down). You, of course, can't talk about 'Black Sunday' without 'Insane in the Brain', which Statik Selektah produced a brand new remix just for this Record Store Day remix 12 inch, as well as a new 'Hits From the Bong' flip from the one and only, the original producer DJ Muggs.
