Review: Adam Antine is also known as Dawn Razor, a prolific producer covering all kinds of styles from bass-toting broken techno to slender minimal on labels like R&S, Otake and Baroque. Now he lands on Deepology with a masterful EP of contemporary minimal which draws on breakbeat as much as glitchy electronica and ambient to create a standout EP. The title is instructive - all the tracks carry a dusky, seasonal mood which elevates these beyond simple club tracks, even if they have more than enough presence in the rhythm section to keep a dancefloor moving. Lose yourself in the fluttering piano and murmuring pads of the title track and you'll practically feel the leaves crunching under your feet.

Review: There sure is an appropriate sense of futurism in these new breakbeats from Ahu. Opener 'Jina' is run through with far-sighted chords that bring to mind the glowing metropolis of Ridley Scott's 'Bladerunner' - it even feels like there's rain falling in the tune as well as subtle celestial vocals and deep, driving bass. and spoken word samples to add that cinematic ambiance. 'Jina (Mahsa)' is soulful machine music - fans of the glorious 69 project of Carl Craig will doubtless dig it - and then 'Nika' rides on a much more rubbery and lovely, lumpy Herbert-esque beat with molten synth melodies and a darker energy. A stylish EP, no doubt.

Review: Poggio and Gabriel Belabbas' cheeky Positive Future label is back once again to bring some playful mischief to the contemporary electro-techno scene. This split release showcases some of the artists orbiting the label, kicking off in spooky style with Aline Umber's 'Hypnotized', which features a pitched down vocal from Poggio no less. Juaan's 'Talt' is equally steeped in B-movie freakery and tongue-in-cheek samples, while Ramez takes things deeper on bass-toting dirtbag joint 'Devil Selectro'. Plazeg finishes the record off with the scattershot bleep feast 'German Physicist', which has a whale of a time plying its own line in gleefully macabre club music.

Review: Ibiza-based Londoner Kellie Allen is making increasingly vital moves of late. She has played all over some of Europe's finest parties and dropped, or is about to drop, music on labels such as PIV Records and Boogeyman. This one on House Puff in France is a perfect indication of her sound - classically informed house music with fresh perspective. 'Back In The 80's' is a New Jersey vibe, 'I Know' has a spaced out synth feel and 'Parisian Summer' is more kinetic and future-facing with slick grooves making you move. Closer 'Funk For Peace' is another nice and breezy house cut perfect for balmy nights.

Review: MCMLXV welcomes back Analog~1 for a third outing here. It is an alias of JS Zeiter and one that is reserved more for esoteric and electronica tracks following notable outings on labels such as Furthur Electronix, Meandyou and We're Going Deep. 'Mirage' kicks off with melancholic pads and dubby chords over crisp minimal drums that sink you into a reverie. That vibe continues through 'Virtual' and 'Haunted' which care both sophisticated atmospheres with subtle electro-tinged rhythms and quietly emotive pads. 'Solano' closes down with another icy and cavernous space that is filled with meaningful synth craft to make for another classy EP.

Review: German progressive house duo Andhim specialize in bringing out the genre's sentimental side, and their latest single 'I Love You' is a masterful case in point. Describing their sound as "super house", the pair evidently only choose the most serene and gut-punching sounds and samples going in, and 'I Love You' exemplifies this, with its knife-edge, repetitive vocal and swellingly pink chords, which recall the French house climaxes of The Paradise or Daft Punk, and/or the more recent, well-rounded post-10s uplifts of Bicep. Of course, the B-side must provide the mirror image, on which the equally powerful emotion of hatred is explored. Hatred isn't exactly a house music go-to, but the psychologist in us feels compelled to remind the reader that love and hatred, aren't binary opposites, and are closer together than we often think!

Review: Omakase keeps up the momentum of its fine first release with a second sizzling followup, this time from Trauma alongside Anton under their collaborative guise Antraum. It's a case of super silky sounds only here with deft and dubbed out tech on the opener 'Hachi', which is defined by a superb vocal hook. 'Roko' is a jittery rhythm with breakbeat and icy cold hits all warmed through by a fine bassline. 'San' shuts down with a nice laid back tech beat that encourages you to sink deep into it.

Review: Ardeleanu Bogdan first appeared on Atipic back in 2019, and now the up and coming producer returns with another four exercises in dub techno informed minimal which should go down a storm in long-form DJ sets where there's time to stretch out and get a little psychedelic. The opening track on the record creates a vibrant soundscape teeming with movement from interwoven arps and space age pads, while the A2 locks into an elegant strain of electro capped off with hi-tech jazz flourishes. The B-side kicks off with driving machine soul doused in mellow, melodically-rich synth shapes, then the closing track completes the picture in a mellifluous blur of squidgy leads and undulating low end.

AV1 goes first with the crispy metal drums and warped synths of 'Meta2' then Fsk24 & Felix Dulac combine for the hammering tech-funk of 'Un Eclair Dans La Nuit' which would have been a Tyrant classic back in the day. Fsk24 then hooks up with Nils for the stomping and noen-lit jungle-tech of 'Toomai Des Elephants' before partnering with Solal Reyes for the tripped out but driving closer 'Tongue Twister'.

Review: Here comes Boink pulling up to Curb Side with some of that signature deep house niceness we so appreciate round these parts. There's a healthy amount of swing driving 'Nor Wee', not to mention an abundance of twinkling melodic touches that help the beats go down easily. 'Have More Fun' is all about a naughty bassline and subtle threads of atmosphere, while 'Just A Doop' lets the chords lead the way (but not at the expense of some cheeky low end action, naturally). 'Contrast Stitch' is a more pumped up workout with a garage house beat you can sink your dancing teeth right into, and a perfect blend of bouncy sampling and silky chords for the full dancefloor package.

Review: Eya continues to be a hotbed of cheeky club energy as they welcome the power duo Thoma Bulwer and Anna Wall to lay down some nasty grooves after they last collaborated for Serenity in 2021. 'Liquid Wiggle' is a sassy slice of contemporary acid house shot through with trippy FX and catchy tech house motifs, while 'TNT' is a boxy beat down with rubbery electro bass which slots in perfectly on Eya. It sees the rising star and Kerri Chandler favourite join forces with Bontan, a fellow UK producer best known for his outings on Hot Creations and Crosstown Rebels. It features three passes on 'Call You Back'. There's the original mix, a fluid, loose and sub-heavy slab of tech-house/deep house fusion rich in undulating melodic motifs, sparse riffs and shuffling drums, a fine DJ tool based around the melodic hooks, percussive builds and vocal samples and a rock-solid build-release-build drum track built around weighty kick-drums and hissing drum machine cymbals.

And who better to serve them up than the rightly revered Cabanne. Music writer Harold Heath is first up with 'Slipstream,' an effortless smooth late-night house cut with introspective chords and silky pads bringing real depth. Review: As Mike 'Angel X' Clark told us recently over at Juno Daily, environmental activism is what has inspired the lead track from his new Activate EP. Clark, who is known as 'The Detroit ambassador' amongst local heads, serves it up on the excellent Third Ear along with three other tracks that collide his take on techno, electro and disco. Aside from the thump of the title cut, 'Going Off The Wall' brings some edgy synth drama that you might hear in a futuristic spy cop show while 'It's Coming For Ya' is slow, dubby, dark deep house. The closing cut 'Mr Mitchell' shows another look entirely with hints of futurist jazz funk that cannot fail to get you going.

Review: Class Compliance's brand of deep house is one embellished with plenty of details and synthetic sounds that sit nicely with the more cuddly depths of the drums. On this new 'Plug & Play' EP for Space Repetitions that is the case once more. The opening title cut is one that rides on smooth drums but has metal textures and sine synths detailing the grooves. 'Dreams' is more zoned out - the pads are soft focus and the drums are super soft around the edges, then 'Mosquito' has a more distorted and lo-fi edge with crunchy percussion and busted kicks.

We still are not sure who or what is behind these releases but they keep coming at an unhurried rate but always with great style. This sixth offering is another club-ready mix of house, tech and minimal starting with the dry, stiff beats of 'Mr Science' before bringing more loose feels and broken beats to the deft 'Funkadelic.' 'U Got Me UP' is pure backroom house tackle with dubby undercurrents and last of all is the bumping, acid laced 'Analog Tales' for a nice mid tempo workout.

Review: Pietro 'Peter' Macaluso has been around for some time, operating between Berlin and his native Sicily, though remarkably this is the first time his productions have been showcased on vinyl. It comes via Balance Recordings, with boss man Chez Damier acting as 'executive producer'. There's much to admire across the EP, from the suspenseful, alien electronics and slow-build groove of deep Afro-tech bubbler 'Low Pressure (Afro-Acid Mix)', and the light-touch deep house hypnotism of 'Feel Me (Deep Mix)', where DJ Ronaldo-esque synth string sounds catch the ear, to the ultra-deep techno haziness of 'Cantico (Synth Wave Mix)' and the tough, bleeping throb of 'Take It Off (Techno Mix)'.

Review: New York City native Darand Land is one of many dons of deep house to come from the Big Apple and its environs. He sits right at the top of the pile alongside the likes of Fred P for his smoky, low-lit basement sounds as he once again shows with this new EP on regular label Downbeat. 'Melanin Vegan' is a gorgeously bottomless and smooth as you can imagine with wispy pads and vocals off in the distance. It's gorgeously melancholic and is backed up by the heads down 'Deep4life Retrograde', more upbeat and airy 'Wonder Seven', and final gem 'Dug Deep'. What a doozy.

Review: Dennis Cruz is a tune making machine. The Spaniard turns out plenty of house and tech variations on several notable labels and always manages to find a little freshness with each one. Here he is on Damian Lazarus-owned Crosstown Rebels with a couple of solo cuts but also two collaborations. Opener 'Snake Charmer' has a lead flute moody that will do just that over steamy jungle house beats while 'Time Out' is a stripped back house sound deiced by its huge diva vocals. The collabs are firstly 'Revolution' (feat DJ Holographic) with Lazarus himself, which is a slinky and liquid tech house sound for the dead of night, then a minimal and dark roller with Ian Ludvig.

Review: Coming in hot after last year's Pura Lempuyang compilation is this new two part 12" offering up cuts from it on limited edition turquoise wax. Dib kicks off with 'Cieloterra' which is a devilishly deep and dubby techno cut with fizzing synths running across its face. Federsen is much more smooth and silky with liquid pads and a sublime sense of frictionless groove to his 'Random Motion' while Grad U offers more heavy and stumbling dub quakes on 'From The Shadows.' Last of all is Altone's 'Emergent Structure,' a lush minimal excursion with deft hits and feathery pads over sublime drums.

Review: Motech is one of those label that has been an ever present in the underground for years and it likely always will be that way, such is the consistency of the output. Label head DJ 3000 steps up for this latest release which takes the label ever closer to 200 outings over all, and as always he mines a perfect sweetspot between techno, breakbeat and house. 'Meze' has tense drum tech underneath mystic and exotic leads from the Middle East, while 'Humble Quest' keeps things nimble with deft synth smears over thud drum funk. The synth-infused and Detroit style techno of 'Tanbur' makes for a serene listen while 'Snake Eyes' brings a little freaky synth energy to close out.

Review: Chiwax outta Germany is no stranger to digging deep into the back catalogue of the legendary Dance Mania label having done so many times before. They are also more than familiar with the work of one of its mainstays, DJ Milton, having turned up some of his prime material in the shape of the Get The Cash EP all the way back in 2013. Review: Since re-emerging earlier this year, mid-90s Leeds label Hard Times (a spin-off from the now legendary club night of the same name) has released some killer material from Steve 'Silk' Hurley and Eddie Leader. Here they tap up another US house legend, Chicago's inimitable DJ Sneak, for an EP of typically loopy, funky and hard-edged workouts. Sneak lets us settle in with the groovy and attractive loop jam 'You're Mine', before wrapping alien disco strings and held-note chords around a bumpin' beat on 'This One'. He opts for a crunchier, tech-tinged house sound on the gently twisted 'Body Slangin', before rounding off a rock-solid EP via the hybrid acid/deep house/disco-house pressure of 'Deep Undercover'.
