Notes: An audio filter in a tiny package! A blend between Mystic Circuits' "AND - gate" and their "Vactrol Low Pass Gate" circuits, the cutoff frequency can be modulated at audio rate. It also features a voltage controlled clipping circuit which allows for further wave shaping. The response of this circuit is much faster than that of the Vactrol Low Pass Gate, so it will react to very plucky envelopes and even triggers.

Notes: The 0HP OR Gate can be used to combine different signals, usually gate or clock signals. The output will give a high voltage whenever a high voltage is present at either of the inputs. This can be useful for combining multiple different gate sources together to trigger the same module, such as using a gate sequencer and a burst generator on a drum module to get drum fills. This module can also process fluctuating voltages, outputting the maximum of the two inputs (the highest of the input voltages above 0). The built in trigger converter outputs a spike whenever the main output transitions from low to high.

Give your module a facelift

These replacement faceplates are designed for use with the module in the traditional orientation with the screen on top. These are the same faceplates used when manufacturing our modules, but now in black. They are anodized aluminium with a bead blasted finish.

Swapping out a faceplate is easy to do, and requires a small wrench or pliers. Here are the steps to replace a faceplate:

Remove the module from the rack.
Use a small wrench or pliers to remove the small round nuts around each of the mini jacks. Note that these nuts have a notch on the top side of them. This notch fits into a specialized tool that can be used to remove these nuts more easily.
Gently tug on the four knobs to pull them off.
Use a small wrench or pliers to remove the hex nuts from the knob stems.
Remove the washers from the knob stems.
Gently pull up on the faceplate and it will slide off easily.
Place the new faceplate on the module.
Replace the washers on the knob stems.
Use a small wrench or pliers to replace the hex nuts on the knob stems.
Use a small wrench or pliers to replace the small round nuts around each of the mini jacks. Note that the notch should be on the top side of the nuts, the side away from the faceplate.
Look at the underside of the knobs and the post that they rest on. You will see that the knobs are keyed. Line up the flat edge of the hole in the knob with the flat edge of the post, and then push the knob onto the post. If you have the knob aligned properly, it should go on with moderate pressure. If it seems to require more force, please check the alignment.

Notes: This MIDI Adapter enables you to connect MIDI devices that use standard MIDI cables to the stereo minijacks used by 1010music products. The adapter has a male stereo minijack at one end, and a female 5 pin DIN MIDI connector on the other, and is 22 cm/8.5" long. Notes: A 4 ft Type B MIDI Adapter

This cable enables you to connect MIDI devices that use standard MIDI cables to the stereo minijacks that use the Type B standard. The adapter cable has a male stereo minijack at one end, and a male 5 pin DIN MIDI connector on the other, and is 1.42 meters/4' 8" long. It is also useful as a converter for connecting to other MIDI devices that use a different mapping of MIDI signals to the stereo minijacks.

Early 1010music music products use the Type B mapping of MIDI signals to stereo minijacks. Bitbox mk2 and bitbox micro can use mini TRS Type A or Type B for MIDI inputs. Bitbox micro uses Type B for MIDI outputs.

The diagram to the right shows the numbering of the pins on a MIDI connector and the labels of the connection components of a stereo minijack. Type B products are compatible with cables that use the following mapping of MIDI signals between female MIDI connectors and stereo minijacks.

Notes: These knobs are custom made for AE modular; they fit perfectly on the shafts and can be added to all AE modules, no matter of which generation they are.

As of December 2020, all AE modules will be shipped with these knobs as standard.

Notes: AE modular offers mostly minijack sockets for input/output; but external gear like mixers mostly use 1/4 jacks. In this case, this adapter cable can be helpful. The adapter is approx. 30cm long and splits two signal paths at the minijack side to two mono 1/4 jack sockets.

The timeless Model D, reinvented in Eurorack

The AJHSynth MiniMod Keyz synth is an exciting new modular monosynth featuring the much acclaimed MiniMod modules, which recreate the vintage circuitry and sound of the early RA Moog Model D in Eurorack modular format. It functions as a standalone keyboard synthesiser, or can be expanded even further by patching it to other Eurorack modules, with excellent connectivity. These are partnered with the feature-packed Cre8audio Niftykeyz controller keyboard, which has been given a vintage makeover with custom-designed, American Walnut end cheeks. It has a huge specification, including a full size 49 note keybed that outputs Pitch CV's, gate CV's, Velocity and Aftertouch CV, along with a multi mode arpeggiator to give you total control over expression and sound.

MiniMod Modules

The MiniMod Keyz is an absolute powerhouse of a monosynth, with three VCO's, two Shaped sine Sub bass generators, classic 24dB vintage Ladder filter, 6dB & 12dB High Pass VCF, Dual Cascaded VCA, Dual Contour generators, Glide Noise module, Ring modulator, Tap-Tempo VC-LFO and onboard second multi-function modulation LFO.

Glide Noise

Glide with added Up/Both/Down function, including correct glide slope profile, along with Hold function that recreates the "Glide only when key is depressed" behaviour. Noise generator with White, Pink and DC Red noise CV modulation source.

Discrete Transistor VCO x 3

Three Discrete Transistor Core VCO's, much acclaimed analogue design featuring the circuitry of the early and very rare RA Moog oscillator which is often acknowledged as the fattest analogue VCO in Eurorack.

Ring SM

AJH Synth's hugely versatile three-in-one module, with fantastic sounding ring modulator based on the EMS VCS3 discrete transistor design, two Sub bass generators with unique, shaped sine waveforms to add -1 and -2 octave waveforms, and last but not least, a five channel DC coupled vintage Moog CP3 transistor mixer.

Transistor Ladder Filter

The Moog Ladder Filter is renowned for its beautiful creamy sound, and the Transistor ladder Filter from the early Model D was the pinnacle in terms of sound, with its unique overdriven circuitry and roll off of resonance at low frequencies. It has featured on countless recordings over the last 50 years or so.

Low Fat Filter

Voltage controlled High Pass filter with 6dB and 12dB slopes. It can be used standalone, or can be combined with the MiniMod Ladder Filter to create a fully customisable band pass filter, allowing the range of passbands to be cherry-picked rather than fixed.

Discrete Cascaded VCA

The Model D cascaded VCA is an essential part of creating the classic MiniMoog sound, because in addition to it's VCA function, it adds harmonic distortion and further character to the sound. There were three different gain configurations used in Model D, with the very early RA Moog and Musonics models having the highest distortion and most sought after sound, so this is the circuitry that we use here. It is actually two VCA's in series, hence the cascaded label. The second VCA is normally unused, however by patching to the Master IN we can use this second VCA here to control Velocity from the keyboard.

Dual Contour generator

The contour generators play a larger part in the sound of the Model D than many people realise. There are two factors that make them unique, firstly the exponential slope when it's used in conjunction with the (near) linear slope of the original VCA, which is responsible for the famous Model D "punch". Secondly, the re-trigger behaviour is quite unique, as multiple re-triggering increases the output level. AJH Synth have faithfully reproduced all of these essential characteristics in the MiniMod Contour Generators.

Tap Tempo VC-LFO

A considerable limitation of the Model D was the lack of any LFO's for modulation, so VCO 3 had to be switched from Audio to LFO mode to provide modulation. As the MiniMod synth benefits from a full open modular architecture AJH Synth have added two LFO's, the first being the onboard LFO that is hard wired to the Modulation wheel, and the second and much more powerful addition being the Tap Tempo VC-LFO. Its huge specification includes built in VCA for CV control of modulation amount, tap tempo and CV control of LFO rate, 16 different modulation and random voltage waveforms, each with a unique PWM style twist function. Clock in and out, and CV control of all parameters.

NiftyKeyz controller Keyboard

By combining these MiniMod modules with the Niftykeyz keyboard controller AJH Synth have created a stand alone MiniMod system that gives the huge, rich AJHSynth sound in a stand alone instrument with unrivalled performance capability. The open architecture of the Eurorack system already allows unlimited onboard patching and easy expansion by patching to other external Eurorack cases and modules, but now we can just as easily connect to a DAW, other Midi synths and pro audio equipment. It can also be used as a master controller for a DAW or other Midi sound modules. Needless to say, it lends itself very well to live performance as a standalone monosynth.
